| I am happy to provide this reference for Craig Anderson and for his company 5D Builders. 5D Builders completed a duplex for my son and myself in October 2016 in Blackburn and we are very happy with the result. The project was finished on time and on budget and the finishes are wonderful - both inside and out. We used a variety of external finishes - render, timber and standing seam Colorbond and the junctions between these is seamless - always a good indication of the quality of the workmanship. Craig was able to work with us prior to the build to ensure we were able to build the duplex for our budget - which was reasonably limited. He was most helpful in that he was willing to shop around for the best price without compromising on the quality of the materials or fixtures. He was also happy for us to project manage the build ourselves and bring in other tradespeople as required for some of the minor works. After two years, we are very happy with how the building is functioning. Throughout the build and also in the time since completion, Craig has always been very approachable and a great communicator- rare in the construction field from my experience. | We engaged 5D Builders in February 2015 as the builder for our two townhouse development in Aberfeldie. Whilst my husband and I had been involved in several developments prior to this project, this was special since one of the townhouses was to become our family home. From the very beginning of the project we were impressed with Craig’s professionalism, reliability, attention to detail and communication, this continued throughout the project and into post project defect resolution. In any building project there are inevitable challenges that arise, for us the important factor in a builder is not the challenges but how the builder deals with them – Craig’s approach is the best we’ve seen. As an example, when the local water utility decided our pool was in the wrong location (it wasn’t), Craig worked tirelessly with the utility to resolve their misunderstanding, this was above and beyond our expectation from a builder. | We were looking for a builder that could help us renovate several existing rooms and extend up to create a second floor for our home. We were so happy we chose 5D Builders. They have some of the best tradespeople, providing a high-quality finish using high quality materials - all within budget and on time! living at home throughout the build meant we were extremely grateful for the professionalism and consideration shown by the tradespeople. Being kept up to date on the progress of our build were also really important for us and 5D Builders gave us regular updates about what was scheduled next and when it would happen. The care and attention to detail that went into our build made it feel like 5D Builders were building their own home with no compromise on quality. | Yep we are moved in and we love the house that Darren and the guys designed for us. Every guest that comes to visit can’t stop commenting on how it looks…as me for me I love the functionality and storage It is so much better than what we envisaged….a huge thank you to Darren for enduring me, too!!! As for Craig, our target date was to move in mid-May – We moved in 17th March!!!!! Not only did he get us in before the target date, he did it right on budget! Craig was amazing and definitely works off the adage of no problems only solutions This is the third house we have built and Craig is miles and miles better than the other two builders we have used. His knowledge is exceptional and his communication is brilliant We would get weekly E-mail updates and Friday afternoon phone calls each week to let us know exactly where we are at. I have already recommended him to another mate of mine that is building and could not recommend his services any more highly.
